AquaTrack is a comprehensive farm management platform empowering African fish farmers. It integrates real-time pond monitoring, AI-powered recommendations, inventory tracking, financial insights, and a marketplace—all wrapped in a mobile-first, user-friendly design.
The Challenge
Traditional fish farming in Africa relies on manual record-keeping, scattered notebooks, and limited market access—leading to inefficiencies, poor yield optimization, and low profitability. Farmers lacked simple, reliable tools to track water quality, feeding routines, growth metrics, and sales seamlessly.
WHAT I DID
UX Research & User Flows: Conducted field interviews with fish farmers to understand their daily routines and pain points; mapped essential workflows for pond monitoring, feed logging, and sales.
Design & No‑Code Build: Crafted interactive wireframes and high-fidelity UI using Figma. Developed the dashboard and mobile interfaces in Webflow and integrated AI‑driven recommendations for feed, water, and stocking densities.
Data Dashboard & Analytics: Designed clear visualizations for water quality, growth trends, expense tracking, and income—all in one customizable view to give farmers quick insights.
Marketplace UX & Build: Built a no-code marketplace enabling farmers to list and sell produce directly—with filters, secure payments, and order management.
OUTCOMES & IMPACT
Farmers who adopted AquaTrack reported a ~30% increase in sign-ups and operational efficiency. Users praised its simplicity and accessibility with testimonials like “very easy to operate” and “a game changer in aquaculture”
Led the design and build of AquaTrack Marketplace, successfully launched, enabled real transactions, & achieved revenue within the first week of going live.
