Overview

This project focused on designing an impactful anti-bullying awareness campaign through a series of visually engaging posters. By blending data-driven insights with compelling narratives and strong visuals, the campaign aimed to shed light on the profound effects of bullying. The goal was not only to inform but to evoke empathy, spark conversation, and drive awareness about the issue.

The Objective

The project aimed to:
• Create a series of posters that visually communicate the emotional and social impact of bullying.
• Transform raw data and research into accessible, thought-provoking visuals.
• Develop a narrative that resonates emotionally with viewers while remaining factually accurate.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was to reimagine emotionless, corporate-style data presentations into visually powerful and emotionally engaging posters. Balancing aesthetics with factual integrity required careful design choices in:
Visual Hierarchy – Ensuring the most critical data points drew attention.
Tone of Voice – Crafting copy that was empathetic yet informative.
Color Psychology – Selecting palettes that conveyed urgency and sensitivity without overwhelming the viewer.
Storytelling – Translating statistical information into relatable, human-centered stories.

Process & Iterations

1. Research Phase – Deep-dive into credible sources (CDC, Pew Research, and academic studies) to gather key statistics and insights.
2. Story Development – Brainstorming sessions to craft a cohesive narrative aligned with the emotional impact of bullying.
3. Sketching & Prototyping – Initial sketches exploring various visual directions to determine the most effective layout for conveying the message.
4. Design Refinement – Iterative process of refining visuals, typography, and color schemes to strike the right balance between emotion and information.
