Zeyna: A WebGL Carousel for Creative Portfolios

A signature hero interaction for Zeyna, a creative-agency portfolio template. Instead of a flat grid, featured work lives inside a curved 3D carousel — projects wrap around a virtual cylinder, react to scroll and drag, and stay buttery-smooth at 60fps.

Zeyna is a monochrome, editorial portfolio template built for studios and freelance designers. The brief: make the homepage feel alive the moment it loads, without sacrificing the clean, near-black-on-porcelain aesthetic. The answer was a WebGL-powered showcase carousel — the centerpiece of the page.

Portfolio templates usually fall into one of two traps: static grids that feel generic, or heavy 3D experiments that tank performance and break on mobile. Zeyna needed both — a memorable, tactile interaction and marketplace-grade performance and accessibility (Webflow & Framer marketplace standards).

Curved 3D carousel — project thumbnails mapped onto a cylindrical curve, with depth, perspective and subtle parallax.

Drag + scroll + momentum — pointer drag, wheel scroll, and inertial easing so the gallery glides to rest naturally.

Responsive by design — re-projects gracefully from widescreen down to mobile; reduced-motion fallback for accessibility.

Monochrome art direction — Porcelain / Snow / Ink palette, Inter Tight display + Geist UI, fully in keeping with Zeyna's design system.

A reusable showcase module that becomes Zeyna's hero moment — shipping with the template across the Webflow and Framer marketplaces, and on pe.supply. The kind of first-scroll interaction that makes a studio's work feel premium before a single project is even clicked.
