Verbal identity for a workspace management app that doesn’t require an engineering degree.

Project Summary

Window managers used to be for devs who live and die by keystrokes. Bento set out to make workspace management usable for people who don’t think in shortcuts.
I developed Bento’s verbal identity, defining a clear, discerning tone that leads with utility while leaving room for wry wit. The voice was heavily inspired by long-form editorial advertising from the 1970s: practical, confident, and grounded in how work actually happens. The result is a brand voice that sounds confident without being precious, practical without being dull—the kind of presence you want beside you as you get through your workday. My work spanned positioning, tone of voice, brand messaging, and web copy.

Brand Tagline

OK computer, let's work.

Supporting line

Not artificially intelligent, just useful.

Brand Explainer

Good work deserves good tools. A workspace should be designed with the same care as the work itself. Bento keeps yours in order—saving your setup, remembering your layout, and keeping your focus where it belongs.

Feature Descriptions

The beauty of coming back. Save your workspace—apps, windows, and tabs—and return in one click. Space for every idea. Create setups for meetings, deep work, or creative focus. Switch instantly. Tools that belong. Screenshots, screen recording, timers, and to-dos built in—no subscriptions required. Drawers for your desktop. Group related apps and flip through them like tabs.
The neatest thing about it is automatic. Your layout adapts automatically as you add things—no dragging, no resizing.
