A leading Swiss web hosting company needed a redesign of their onboarding flow and user interface for their hosting plans and new service, "Site Creator." The service targets small and medium businesses looking to build websites without needing developers. The existing process led to drop-offs and didn’t effectively communicate product value.

Challenges

The onboarding flow required users to pay for a domain upfront, frustrating users and causing drop-offs.
The process lacked a trial phase, unlike competitors, reducing user engagement.
The company was not tracking product usage data, making it difficult to optimize the experience.

Goals

Redesign the onboarding experience to improve conversion rates for hosting plans and the "Site Creator" service.
Allow users to explore the product before purchasing, reducing friction and increasing engagement.
