Hair Loss in Men via DHT: 3D Medical Animation

The brief
Our client makes a scalp massager with red light therapy. They needed men to see why hair thins in the first place, and how their device works on that cause.
What we made
A 30 second 3D animation in three steps.
DHT travels through the bloodstream to the scalp
It restricts blood flow to the hair follicles, so they shrink and starve
Red light and gentle stretching bring blood, oxygen and nutrients back to the follicle
Then the hair grows back, right on screen.
Why a cross-section
Hair loss happens under the skin, where nobody can see it. Cutting the scalp open in 3D shows the follicle, the vessels and the DHT together, so the cause and the fix sit in one shot.
