KPN wanted to minimize the type of notifications within the MijnKPN app and therefore decided to conduct a user survey to find out which notifications are effective and wanted by users and which are not.

The first step is to find out who the users are. Once the user demographics are known, we invite them to participate in a survey.

In the meantime, we proceed with setting up the research plan. When drawing up a research plan, we first put down on paper what the aims of the research are: what are we trying to find out? What does the client want to know? After drawing up the guidelines, we choose the test methods that are most suitable for the research.

We used various research methods to find out the needs of the users: from interviewing, A/B testing, observing to card sorting.

Afterward, we delivered a compact, insightful case study containing all the findings of the research, accompanied by advice.
