Worked with young debut authors to develop, organize, and edit first published work. I was able to join the team at a time where the author was facing a major rewrite that would have cost weeks of work and thrown off the entire publication timetable.

By joining the team when I did, I was able to sit down with the author and redevelop the novel using the existing content and style. When we finished the redevelopment plan, the author was left with a small list of actionable steps to take and went to work writing the missing scenes and making the foundational changes that allowed the novel to come together into a coherent and intriguing story.

At the author’s request, I remained with the team and worked as a late stage editor for the piece before publication.

I’m the end, the author was able to maintain a similar timetable to their original and meet their publication goals by producing a quality piece of writing and I was able to assist in the self-publication process by guiding the client through the steps and strategies for using Amazon’s publication platform.
