Pepup is a Georgian travel startup reshaping how travelers discover authentic dining experiences around the world.
They address a major problem: finding local food gems without hours of research or relying on untrustworthy platforms.
Despite a powerful idea and a strong founding team, their existing website had poor UX, confusing structure, and weak emotional engagement.
It lacked the storytelling and interaction needed to bring their vibrant vision to life.
2. The Challenge
Pepup’s core challenge:
Their idea was fresh and engaging – but their digital presence wasn’t.
The old site had a poor structure, little emotional pull, and didn’t reflect the experience-first brand they were building.
As a result:
Users couldn’t easily connect with the product’s emotional value.
The brand's credibility suffered, impacting early traction and trust.
My task was to build a live prototype fast – something that could immediately elevate their online presence, communicate the brand's energy, and drive real engagement.
3. Approach
I approached Pepup’s redesign with three strategic priorities:
✅ Story-First UX:
I restructured the site to lead visitors through Pepup’s core narrative – not just what they offer, but why it matters for travelers seeking authentic, memorable food experiences.
✅ Interactive Experience:
Using modern scroll animations and playful, emoji-driven design touches, I created an engaging, lightweight experience that matches Pepup’s adventurous spirit.
✅ Speed to Prototype:
Built the full redesign in less than 24 hours.
Fast execution allowed immediate feedback and validated the concept with the founding team through cold outreach.
Canva: Fast visual elements to support storytelling
Figma: Wireframing and early content structure drafts
5. Results
Prototype Delivered in 1 Day:
Full homepage redesign ready to present to founders in under 24 hours.
Immediate Founder Engagement:
The cold outreach led directly to a positive reaction from Pepup’s CEO, validating both the design approach and the strategic storytelling.
Strategic Upgrade:
The new design positions Pepup for stronger brand storytelling, better conversion, and higher engagement with early adopters, investors, and partners.
6. Why It Matters
Early-stage startups don’t just need functional websites.
They need emotional pull, fast clarity, and a story that makes people want to belong.
Pepup’s upgraded prototype delivers exactly that:
Faster connection.
Stronger trust.
A memorable first impression.
This project proves that story-driven design, executed fast and smart, can immediately upgrade a startup’s market positioning – even before they raise their first big round.
