ClickUp Setup for Investment Banking Workflow

Project Overview

Implemented a customized ClickUp workspace for an investment banking firm to provide leadership with visibility into resource workload, task prioritization, and project workflows. This allowed leadership to allocate urgent tasks without overloading.

Project Goals

A clear overview of team workload across multiple ongoing transactions and projects.

A workflow system that mirrored their existing workflow but removed guesswork.

A way to assign urgent tasks without overburdening the busiest resources.

My Role

Designed the ClickUp structure: workspaces, folders, lists, and custom fields for projects, tasks, and due dates.

Moved all current projects to ClickUp.

Documented processes and provided training.

Challenges

Workload was particularly heavy due to COVID so had to implement very quickly.

Projects were huge and complex so they need a careful migration process.

Necessities from the 2 branches of the firm were hard to consolidate.

Results

Leadership gained real-time visibility into team workload.

Saved ~ $600 annually on Microsoft Project Fees.

Reduced risk of overloading key resources by balancing work distribution.
