This is a summary of my 10 year career at a B2B tech start-up. I worked closely with the management team. I started as an admin assistant and through the years, I was promoted and managed the Marketing team, growing the company from 3 branches in APAC to 18 worldwide.
My Role:
Marketing and Sales: Ran market research and business development outreach, qualified leads, nurtured pipeline, coordinated sales calls, closed deals, and onboarded new clients.
Compliance Analysis: Crafting executive summaries and conducting risk exposure analyses concerning clients' compliance with China's Cyber Laws.
Project Management: Acted as the bridge between client HQ and local offices, coordinating communication, resources, documentation, and IT issue resolution. Led projects including IT audits, office relocations, software deployments, and mergers and acquisitions.
Administrative Support: Interfacing with local offices to ensure timely completion of licenses and government filings, conducting interviews, onboarding new team members, establishing and maintaining operational documents, managing government and labor department relations, overseeing branch setup, and executing day-to-day administrative tasks.
Virtual Assistance: Supported the co-owners with administrative and personal tasks including visa applications, email and calendar management, document creation and management.
Results:
Market Expansion: Led the market research and business development efforts behind the company's expansion from 3 to 18 branches globally, including strategic growth in Asia Pacific, Dubai, Europe, and the US.
LinkedIn Growth: Grew the company page and management LinkedIn presence from 2,000 to 5,000+ connections over 2-3 years. Connections were qualified leads, with a portion converted to warm leads through tailored messaging and profile branding.
Sales Growth: Increased sales by analyzing potential clients, generating leads, nurturing leads, and coordinating sales calls. Ran cold email marketing campaigns that generated 3-10 positive replies per week, with 2-5 calls booked weekly.
Compliance Assurance: Advised clients on compliance with China's Cyber Laws and helped reduce regulatory risk.
Project Success: Delivered IT audits, office relocations, software deployments, and M&A projects on time, across multiple branches.
Operational Efficiency: Tightened administrative processes, kept all branches compliant with local regulations, and maintained day-to-day operations across the network.
