Website Development for Oma Kitchen

Tired of trawling the internet for trustworthy recipes, the two founders of Oma Kitchen craved the confidence that comes from finding the bridges between flavours: the ability to experiment in the kitchen and create something good enough to eat. Oma is the place to explore and try tested recipes. It was inspired by a desire to open the fridge and whip something up from scratch.
Taking advice from top chefs around the world, Oma have mapped the best route to take your cooking to the next level, with just enough guidance to help you develop a taste for adventure. After all, success is that much sweeter when you seasoned it yourself.
The challenge for this project was to recreate the beautiful design that Duzi Studio put together for Oma, making it extremely responsive as well, to retain the pleasant experience for the user, particularly on mobile, where most websites are visited anyway nowadays.
Particular attention was paid to translating every detail from the design files to code and web browsers. Elements like colours, strokes, fonts, image resolutions, etc. have been kept as much as possible in the website we have built, to enhance the user’s journey from visit, to purchase, to cooking.
Another element that we paid a lot of attention to was the user sign-up and gift flows, making sure that they could buy or gift a course seamlessly.
