Overview: Electronic Arts teamed up with Burke Decor to create a unique shopping experience for their popular mobile game, Design Home, played by over a million users daily. The mission was to connect the in-game furniture and decor with a Shopify Plus store, allowing players to buy real-world items featured in the game.

Challenge: The goal was to link the Design Home game to a Shopify Plus store, so players could purchase decor items they liked from the game. Additionally, we had to enable players to use their in-game currency to earn rewards on real furniture purchases.

Solution: We developed a custom middleware to bridge the game and the Shopify store, making it possible for in-game currency to be used on real purchases. Each product in the game was matched to its Shopify counterpart, and we maintained server operations to ensure smooth functionality.

Outcome: In collaboration with Burke Decor and Glu Mobile, we successfully implemented a groundbreaking solution, allowing over a million players daily to shop real decor through the game. The project generated a new revenue stream for the game, surpassing seven figures in sales.
