Sales Management Mobile App Design

Salex is a mobile sales management application designed to help small business owners easily track sales, manage orders, and monitor inventory. Small business owners often rely on manual methods (paper or spreadsheets) to track sales, inventory, and customer orders. This leads to errors, misplaced records, and a lack of visibility into business performance. There’s a need for a simple digital solution that helps business owners stay on top of daily operations.

Design a user-friendly mobile app that enables small business owners to:

Track and log sales and orders

Monitor inventory in real-time

Access business insights easily

I conducted interviews with 15 small-scale business owners and market vendors to understand their sales tracking habits and challenges.

60% of participants had little to no technical background

80% relied on handwritten notes or memory to track sales

95% wanted a simple and fast solution to log sales and orders

90% had lost important sales records at least oncePain Points

To better understand the market and user expectations, I analyzed four mobile and web-based tools commonly used by small business owners to manage sales, inventory, and customer transactions.

To visualize the structure and core interactions of the Salex app, I created low-fidelity wireframes focusing on simplicity, speed, and ease of use. These wireframes helped me map out the user experience before diving into high-fidelity design.

After validating the structure and flow through wireframes and usability testing, I moved on to high-fidelity designs.
