⭐️ A Short Brief - Lucie's Goal
Shine Studios is a beauty brand dedicated to empowering individuals through makeup and self-expression. Lucie, who is the owner, wanted a brand identity that showcased her passion for beauty and highlighted the elegance and creativity behind her products. The branding needed to reflect her commitment to helping people feel radiant, confident, and their best selves.
☝🏽 First Step - Design Requirements
Lucie selected my comprehensive Brand Identity package, which began with an in-depth consultation workshop. We sat down to discuss her vision for Shine Studios and the essential elements she wanted for the brand. She wanted something that felt refined yet approachable, with a sense of artistry that could cater to both professionals and regular people.
Here are some of the key design requirements that Sarah and I worked out in the workshop:
Incorporate beauty tools such as brushes and makeup
A soft, elegant color palette
Modern, yet feminine vibe
Reflect Shine Studios' emphasis on self-expression and creativity
✍🏽 Second Step - Brand Personality
During our discussion, Lucie and I dove deep into the personality behind Shine Studios. She wanted her brand to exude sophistication while remaining inclusive and welcoming to all who are passionate about makeup and beauty. We outlined the core traits of her brand and created a personality for it:
In the end, we crafted a brand personality that spoke to Lucie's mission—helping people shine, both inside and out. Lucie was thrilled to see how this workshop added a deeper layer to her brand's identity.
✏️ Creating Initial Sketches
Once we had a clear direction, I moved on to creating the initial sketches. These hand-drawn designs explored different compositions of makeup tools, typography, and visual elements that conveyed the essence of Shine Studios.
Lucie was drawn to the first and second concept, but after some deliberation, she decided to move forward with the first one—a more refined arrangement that perfectly captured the balance between elegance and creativity.
👏🏽 Supporting Graphics
With the main logo decided, I expanded the branding with supporting graphics that could be used across various platforms. We included different beauty tools, such as brushes, mirrors, glitter, and palettes, which helped establish Shine Studios' presence on social media, promotional materials, and packaging.
These graphics reinforced the brand's professional yet artistic nature, giving Shine Studios a distinct identity in a competitive market.
🎨 Patterns
To create a cohesive and consistent brand experience, I designed patterns based on the supporting graphics. These patterns could be used across Shine Studios' marketing materials, from business cards to product packaging. They echoed the modern, sleek vibe Lucie wanted, while also being simple enough to appeal to a wide audience.

Working with Lucie on Shine Studios was an exciting and creative journey. From the very first conversation, it was clear that Lucie's passion for beauty would be the heart of this project. I loved translating that passion into a brand identity that is as radiant and empowering as her vision.
