The challenge
Penny Ledger wanted to make UK self-assessment tax returns painless: guided questions, accountant matching, HMRC filing, flat fee.
The half-finished Bubble build was nowhere near ready to ask people to trust it with their money. We were brought in to turn it into something users would trust with their tax data.
What we built
Full lifecycle, from signup to filed return, as one guided experience
Real-time validation with adaptive questions based on customer needs
Accountant portal, admin dashboard, and automated emails
Secure payments and direct HMRC submission
Platform put through and passed a full penetration test audit
