This project focused on designing an AI-powered video creation app that bridges the gap between professional quality and mobile simplicity. The idea: let AI handle the technical complexity while the user focuses on the story.

The design process started in Figma, where every screen was built to make professional video creation feel effortless.

Key design decisions:

Story-first creation flow. Instead of starting with a blank timeline, users begin by describing their vision or selecting a style template. The AI generates a structured storyboard that users can refine. This flips the traditional editing workflow: start with the story, then adjust the details.

Cinematic style presets. One-tap cinematic looks inspired by film genres: documentary, noir, travel vlog, product showcase, social media reel. Each preset adjusts color grading, transitions, pacing, and text overlays to match the genre's visual language.

AI-powered auto-editing. The app analyzes raw footage for best moments, removes shaky clips, matches cuts to music beats, and suggests transitions. Users review and approve rather than build from scratch.

Intuitive timeline with smart controls. For users who want manual control, a simplified timeline shows clips, music, and text layers. Pinch to zoom, drag to reorder, tap to trim. Complex editing made touch-friendly.

Real-time preview. Every change renders instantly. No waiting for exports to see how the final video looks. The preview plays at full quality with all effects applied.

Music and sound design library. A curated library of royalty-free music, sound effects, and ambient audio. The AI suggests tracks that match the video's mood and pacing.

Export optimized for every platform. One-tap export presets for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and cinema-quality 4K. Aspect ratios, compression, and metadata are handled automatically.

Dark, immersive interface. A dark theme with subtle purple and blue accents creates a focused editing environment. The UI recedes so the video content takes center stage.
