Solar energy companies face a unique conversion problem. Homeowners are interested in going solar but overwhelmed by technical jargon, unclear pricing, and a lack of trust in installers. Most solar websites dump specs and panel models on visitors without answering the one question that matters: how much will I actually save?
This project focused on designing a clean, modern, conversion-focused website that helps users understand their solar savings before booking a consultation. Every section was built to simplify decision-making and drive qualified leads.
Design Approach
The design process started in Figma, where every screen was crafted to build trust and move visitors toward a consultation request.
Key design decisions:
Savings-first messaging. The hero section leads with potential savings, not technical specs. Visitors immediately see the financial benefit of going solar, which is the primary motivator for most homeowners.
Trust signals above the fold. Customer ratings, installation count, warranty information, and certification badges are visible without scrolling. In an industry plagued by fly-by-night installers, trust is the conversion lever.
Step-by-step process section. A clear visual breakdown of how solar installation works, from initial consultation to final activation. Removing uncertainty about the process reduces friction and increases form submissions.
Interactive savings calculator. Users input their monthly electricity bill and get an instant estimate of their solar savings. This interactive element keeps visitors engaged and creates a personalized experience.
Social proof with real results. Customer testimonials paired with actual savings data and before/after energy bills. Specific numbers are more convincing than generic five-star reviews.
Clean, modern visual language. Green and white color palette with plenty of whitespace, high-quality photography of real installations, and bold typography. The design communicates professionalism and environmental responsibility simultaneously.
Mobile-first responsive layout. Most homeowners research solar on their phones. The mobile experience prioritizes the savings calculator and consultation booking form.
Conversion-Focused Structure
The page follows a deliberate conversion funnel:
Hook with savings potential in the hero
Build trust with social proof and certifications
Educate with the process breakdown and FAQ
Engage with the interactive savings calculator
Convert with a simple consultation booking form
Every section serves a specific purpose in moving the visitor from curiosity to action.
The Result
A fully designed solar installer website built in Figma, focused on conversion optimization and trust-building. The design serves solar energy companies, renewable energy installers, and green technology businesses looking for a digital presence that turns website visitors into qualified consultation requests through clear messaging, interactive tools, and strategic layout.
