Currently working with a team worldwide for The Language Preservation Project, researching and creating bilingual curriculum and content for heritage Spanish speaking parents and teachers who want to teach Spanish to younger generations. I also provide translation and transcript services, support with bookkeeping and carry out research for the soon to be launch Podcast.
The Spark ✨
This project started with Dr. Veronica Benavides and Rebeca De Leon as two 2nd generation of Mexican families who were looking to get in touch with their Spanish roots. I joined the team in February as a "3rd culture kid" who has had a personal experience living in different countries from a young age. Vero was looking for someone passionate, eager to learn and responsible. Being completely bilingual in English and Spanish was helpful as well as my background in Social Media and Bookkeeping.
The Stats 💯
The project is still ongoing, we have increased the following in our Social Media significantly, have gotten new subscribers to our newsletter, released the subscription to our collective in Denver and have successfully received several applications from both caregivers and teachers and we have recorded 3 episodes for the Podcast and have a 5+ guests lineup.
