Knead is a French bakery brand that’s meant to feel easy, fun, and not intimidating at all. The whole idea started with a simple pun, “knead” like kneading dough, but also “need” as in no need to stress or overthink. I added this pun because I wanted the brand to feel instantly understandable, a little clever, and most importantly comforting. It sets the tone that this is not one of those fancy bakeries that people feel scared to walk into. From there, everything followed. Bright, warm colours, slightly cheeky typography, and an overall vibe that feels welcoming instead of serious or elite. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in without overthinking and enjoy.
