JourneyGo is a conceptual travel app designed to help friends plan spontaneous getaways together. The challenge was to create a trip planning flow that’s fast, fun, and collaborative, making logistics feel less like work and more like an engaging group activity.
Project Aim
The goal was to design an experience where users could:
Quickly align on trip basics (destination, dates, budget)
Share and vote on activities in an engaging way
Keep momentum during the planning phase with group-friendly interactions
Simplify logistics (flights, hotels, itineraries) without losing the excitement of planning
Thought Process
I started by identifying pain points in traditional trip planning: scattered decisions, endless group chats, and overwhelming logistics. From there, I translated these into opportunities — designing screens and flows that turn friction into fun. For example:
Instead of endless debates, friends can vote on destinations and dates.
Instead of juggling spreadsheets, budgets are set with simple sliders.
Instead of long coordination, a shared trip hub keeps all updates in one place.
Impact
JourneyGo transforms the stressful process of planning into something social, fun, and streamlined. By focusing on collaboration, clarity, and delight, the design demonstrates how thoughtful UX can reshape even the most logistical experiences into enjoyable ones.
