About product

Blick (meaning is the glare/highlight) is a subscription-based cleaning service designed to simplify everyday home maintenance through a more approachable and emotionally comfortable digital experience.
The project explored how utility-focused services can feel less transactional and more human through thoughtful UX, operational clarity and friendly visual direction.

The challenge

Cleaning is not perceived as a regular service. I mean, who wants to admit that their home is dirty? On top of that, cleaning services are usually seen as something you order only once in a while — something people only order in extreme situations. At the same time, hiring a housekeeper often feels too expensive or emotionally distant for everyday life.
Blick was designed around a different idea: cleaning shouldn’t feel shameful, luxurious or stressful. It should feel regular, accessible and seamlessly integrated into everyday routines.
The challenge was creating an experience that felt:
simple
transparent
reliable
emotionally lightweight
One of the core ideas behind Blick was that users don’t actually buy cleaning
They buy:
Cleanliness
peace of mind
predictability
saved mental energy
comfort
consistency

User Flow

Onboarding & Registration

The onboarding flow was intentionally kept minimal to reduce friction during the first interaction.
Users can quickly:
create an account
verify their phone number
enter their first address
start booking immediately
The experience prioritizes speed and clarity over unnecessary setup steps.

Booking Experience

The booking flow focuses on simplifying operational decisions through structured interaction patterns.
Users can:
choose dates and time slots
add comments
manage addresses and order cleaning in office or for parents and etc.
customize cleaning preferences
The interface was designed to make scheduling feel quick and understandable rather than overwhelming.

Subscription System

One of the core product features became the recurring subscription model.
Instead of constantly reordering cleaning manually, users can:
choose cleaning frequency
manage multiple addresses
update subscription settings
control recurring schedules
This transforms cleaning from a repetitive task into a more automated lifestyle service.

Real-Time Cleaning Tracking

A major part of the experience focused on reducing uncertainty during the service itself.
The platform includes:
live progress tracking
cleaning status updates
completed task visibility
real-time service transparency
This creates a stronger sense of trust and control throughout the process.

Retention & Long-Term Use

The product experience was also designed around long-term engagement.
This included:
subscription management flows
rating interactions
lightweight promotional mechanics
clear account settings
easy cancellation and renewal flows
The goal was making recurring usage feel effortless instead of transactional.

About branding and design principles

The visual language combines soft gradients, light optimistic colors, large interaction zones and clean typography to create a calmer and more approachable service experience. Instead of relying on cold utility aesthetics often found in service platforms, the interface was designed to feel emotionally lightweight, modern and trustworthy while still maintaining operational clarity.
The project was guided by several core design principles. A major focus was reducing service anxiety through transparency and intuitive interaction patterns. I also aimed to simplify operational complexity, make recurring actions feel effortless and create emotional comfort through visual direction. Every design decision prioritized clarity, accessibility and ease of use in everyday scenarios.

Blick became an exploration of how emotionally driven design can reshape everyday routines and perceptions around home services – remove the shame around cleaning and turn it into personal comfort! =)
