Aluna Mental Health Landing Page Design

Overview
Aluna is a mental health platform built to make emotional support feel approachable, human, and trustworthy. The brief was simple to say and hard to execute: design a landing page that feels as calm as the care it promises — safe from the very first scroll.
The Problem
Most mental health sites fail in one of two directions. The clinical ones feel like a hospital intake form: cold, sterile, intimidating for someone already anxious. The soft ones over-correct into vague "wellness" fluff that no one trusts with something serious. Aluna had to live in the narrow space between — credible enough to trust with your mental health, warm enough to actually click "Book Session."
Design Decisions
A few specific choices carry the whole experience: Color as emotion — a cream base with forest-green photography and soft brown accents. Green signals nature and calm; the warmth keeps it from feeling institutional. This isn't decoration, it's the core trust mechanism.
Nature over stock therapy photos — instead of clichéd office-couch shots, real people resting in open fields. It reframes therapy as relief, not treatment. Pacing through white space — generous spacing isn't just "clean," it controls breathing room. An anxious user isn't rushed; the layout literally slows the scroll down.
Trust, drip-fed — proof points (120K+ clients, 200K+ sessions, 50+ therapists, real team faces) are spread across the page, not dumped in one block, so credibility builds gradually instead of shouting.
The Flow
The page is sequenced like a conversation, not a brochure: a welcoming hero → services framed around the user's journey → a three-step "How It Works" that removes fear of the unknown → social proof → the humans behind the care → a soft final invitation. Each section answers the exact question a hesitant user would ask next.
The Challenge
Mental health branding often falls into one of two traps: too clinical and cold, or too soft and vague. The challenge was to strike a balance — a design that communicates professionalism and trust (licensed therapists, evidence-based care) while still feeling warm, safe, and inviting. We also needed to organize a wide range of services and trust signals into a single page without overwhelming users who may already be feeling vulnerable.
The Outcome
The result is a landing page that feels less like a medical website and more like a supportive companion. Trust-building elements — 120K+ happy clients, 200K+ sessions completed, and 50+ expert therapists — are woven naturally into a layout that stays calm and uncluttered. Aluna proves that healthcare design can be both credible and comforting, turning a sensitive first step into an inviting one.
