I was contacted by an individual who was applying for a senior management position in a global organisation. I helped to craft a CV, covering letter and Powerpoint presentation. The client was shortlisted for interview.

I provided the client with

A clearly and attractively presented CV.

A highly persuasive and authentic covering letter.

A Powerpoint presentation that fully demonstrated the strength of the client's ideas.

Initially the client required proofreading and mild editing of a CV and covering letter.

I proposed using my own template to improve the CV layout. I used it to set out the client's skills and experience in a clear way that was carefully targeted at the requirements for the job.

For the covering letter, I proposed starting from scratch. I wrote an alternative text that explained the client's motives and aspirations with a more authentic voice and clear train of thought.

The CV and letter secured the client a place on the interview short list. In conversation, she mentioned that she would be required to give a short presentation at the interview. I helped her with this, firstly by having a brainstorming session together - so that she could refine her ideas - then by proofreading and tidying up the text of her Powerpoint.
