I have created and self-published a series of books called Popular Fiction Masterclass. They are study guides for aspiring authors. I performed all key tasks in producing the books, from researching and writing them to proofreading, editing, laying out the text, designing the covers and marketing them.

The series is based on the premise that 'bestsellers make the best teachers'. Each book takes a well-known work of popular fiction and examines the techniques used by the author. It also provides exercises that will help the reader to practice skills and apply their knowledge. I analysed the books in detail and planned a layout of chapters that would provide clear, methodical explanations of my observations. I then wrote the text of the chapters and accompanying exercises, trying to provide a flowing and engaging reading experience.

The initial writing process was followed by several editing stages, ranging from major reorganisations and section rewrites to final detailed proofreading for errors.
