Profundo is a vinyl store based in Mexico City, specializing in underground sounds like Drum & Bass, Jungle, House, Breaks, and Techno. As a new and upcoming project, they wanted a website where people could buy records, grab some merch, and stay in the loop about upcoming events.

I really wanted to keep a nostalgic yet modern look. By choosing bold colors, paired with a clean black-and-white base. I used very square-edged buttons instead of rounded ones to reflect a sharp, underground energy,. It gave the design a more raw, edgy feel. Since the vinyl covers are already super graphic and colorful, I kept the rest of the interface minimal to let the visuals take center stage.

I created a wire-frame structure for both mobile and desktop, so that the programmer could easily translate the design into code. After the structure was completed, I designed interactive prototypes for all pages.

This was one of those projects that just felt exciting from the start. Designing for something I’m genuinely into made the whole process super fun and rewarding. I’d love to keep working on projects like this. Creative, culture-focused, and full of personality.
