PDF Catalogue to Excel + CSV — Traceable Five-Row Preview
A self-initiated, AI-assisted data-cleanup example using a publicly available nursery catalogue. It is not a commissioned job and does not imply endorsement by the catalogue owner. The cover is an illustrative service graphic, not a spreadsheet screenshot.
The task
Make a PDF catalogue excerpt easier to filter and audit without inventing missing or unusual values.
Deliverables
A five-row Excel workbook and matching UTF-8 CSV. Columns are NAME, SIZE, Source PDF, Page and Source URL. The workbook includes a formatted filterable table, frozen headings and a Readme sheet explaining the preview scope.
Handling uncertainty
Source values and source pages remain traceable on each row. A missing size stays blank. The unusual source value 1755cm is preserved and flagged for review rather than guessed or corrected without approval. This preview does not verify current stock.
Verification
Reopened the exported workbook, independently checked the CSV against its five rows and inspected both workbook sheets visually. This sample has no formulas; it is not a full-catalogue conversion.
Source
Public availability PDF linked from sabbestreefarm.com. Each deliverable row records the exact PDF URL and page. The source catalogue belongs to its publisher; the spreadsheet structure, cleanup and verification are my own work.
A paid conversion would first define the page/row limit, required columns, source quality, uncertain-value handling and acceptance checks.
