I always have goal to work with someone in a specific industry. Previously craft beer and coffee have been my goals, both of which I achieved. This project was created with the goal of working with a craft distillery. I also wanted this to be a project that meant something to me, and not something that was designed based on a trend in the design industry.

Since the first time I experienced Lake Superior, I’ve been completely hooked. Never before have I experienced something with so much history, beauty, and power. I wanted to create a concept based on Lake Superior, but more specifically one that honours the historical SS Edmund Fitzgerald wreckage which occurred in 1975.

Throughout this project, specific details about the captain, his last message, and the coordinates of the wreckage are included which serve to elevate the concept.
