LOOP was looking for a copywriter to handle a year-old problem: “What should we do for our outbound newsletter?” They needed a copywriter to create the name, concept, communication style, email strategy, and to write the content for the newsletter week-to-week.
The Solution 🤝
In 2 weeks, I was able to build out the newsletter strategy from scratch, including the name, tone & and voice, and the weekly content. I directed the design team to create a special graphic of me that would capture the personal feel of LOOP Navigator.
The Process 🛣
The first stage began with brainstorming ideas as well as names. I went through a few iterations:
We went through a few newsletter concepts, even a storytelling newsletter concept I called "Paved by the People" which centered around stories from the LOOP community. Ultimately, we landed on LOOP Navigator, the first version of which I graphic designed myself:
The Results 🎁
After consulting with the graphic designer, we came up with a design that felt much more central to LOOP’s brand. Turnaround from concept to launch was just over 2 weeks.
