A 3PL SaaS Platform Processing 100K+ Orders a Month

A logistics startup needed to automate an entire 3PL operation — multiple warehouses, three different user types, and a billing model with a dozen moving parts. I built the SaaS platform that now runs it: 1,000+ Amazon FBA sellers, 100K+ orders processed monthly, across 7 warehouses — launched in just 3 months.
I led front-end and back-end development.

1,000+ FBA sellers onboarded
100K+ Orders processed monthly
7 Warehouses integrated
3 months To launch

Industry: Logistics / 3PL SaaS
Stack: Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, Tailwind
Services: Web Design, Web Development, Custom Software Development, SaaS App Development

Boomdevs delivered exactly what we needed, and fast. They helped us automate our entire fulfillment workflow and made a really complex platform feel simple and solid. Couldn't have launched without them.

The problem: automating a physical business

Fulfillit.io provides third-party logistics for Amazon FBA sellers — warehousing, storage, and order fulfillment across the US and Canada. They needed a platform to run the entire operation automatically, serving three very different users on the same system: the sellers storing products, the warehouse owners fulfilling them, and the admins overseeing everything.
The catch: this software controls physical products in real warehouses. A bug here doesn't just break a screen — it misroutes someone's inventory. That raised the bar on everything.

The two hard problems

A billing model with too many variables. Subscription fees weren't flat. They flexed based on product quantity, storage duration, repacking and fulfillment services, plus commission splits between the warehouse and the platform. I had to build a dynamic billing engine that calculates all of it correctly, every time, automatically.
Security and reliability around real inventory. Because the platform manages physical goods for multiple parties across seven locations, it needed bulletproof data security and error handling. An operational mistake has a real-world cost. The system had to be trustworthy under heavy load — 100K+ orders a month.

How I built it

I developed the platform on Laravel (PHP) for the back-end with JavaScript and Tailwind on the front, architected for automation and scale from day one. The core systems:
A multi-role platform — three distinct interfaces (seller, warehouse owner, admin), each with the right tools and permissions.
A dynamic subscription & billing engine — calculating variable fees and commission splits automatically.
An advanced admin panel — management controls and analytics across all roles and operations.
End-to-end automation — order fulfillment, inventory updates, and warehouse commissions handled with minimal manual intervention.
Intensive QA was non-negotiable given the physical-product stakes — we tested hard against fulfillment errors before launch. And we still shipped the whole thing in three months to hit the client's market window.

The hard part

The billing engine was the quiet monster of this project. "Charge sellers a subscription" sounds simple until the fee depends on how much they store, how long they store it, what services they use, and how commissions split with each warehouse — all updating automatically as activity changes. Getting that logic provably correct, while keeping the platform fast at 100K orders a month, was the real engineering work.

The outcome

1,000+ Amazon FBA sellers onboarded
100,000+ orders processed every month, fully automated
7 warehouses integrated across the US and Canada
Launched in 3 months, hitting the client's market window

The hardest software to build is the kind that makes a genuinely complex business feel simple to run. That was the whole job here.
