The Result:

After one month of balancing school, baseball and G&G Parties, the event day had finally arrived!

At age 15, with no prior experience and using pure instinct, I utilized a budget of $2,000 and implemented three different types of marketing strategies, resulting in a fully sold-out venue of 2,000 people and $24,000 in revenue.

About G&G Parties:

Garyvee once said, "the person who throws the party, is the most popular kid in school"... or something to that extend. Now while, he said that after my event planning days were long gone, it was still my main driving force for putting G&G Parties together. As a fifteen year old kids, I was interested in making money, and talking to girls! So naturally I started G&G Parties with two other people who were equally as inexperienced as me! A graduated friend and other half of G&G, Gentry, and a twenty-eight-year-old disc jockey and our financier DJ Moflo.

The Process:

With the "dream team" assembled all we needed now was to figure out what to do. We kept things simple and said three things mattered most; a venue, customers and a reason to even go (Oh and we also set the event a month away from our first team meeting, which was really dumb but thats what three guys do who want to PARTY).

With a timeline set, we got to work! Turns out, the youngest person in the bunch was also the coolest (Me), so I was put in charge of marketing and making us profitable... Some of my ideas for our success were:

  • V.I.P. Section
  • Redbull Girls
  • Guest Performers
  • Oxygen Bar
  • Influencer Marketing
  • Print/Traditional Marketing
  • Guerilla Marketing

Surpassingly (lol), the even was a Massive Success!
