SHOR | Brand Identity for a Streetwear Label

Noise is the uniform

SHOR is a streetwear label named after the Urdu word for noise: the sound a street makes when nobody asks it to be quiet. It's made for the people the city hears before it sees: riders, rooftop crews, late-night chai circles and every kid with something to say. Heavyweight basics, loud graphics, small drops.
The identity had to work as a global streetwear brand while keeping its South Asian voice, so it speaks two scripts from day one.
Scope: brand strategy, naming story, logo and bilingual mark, visual identity, typography, colour, merchandise, packaging and campaign.

A wordmark cut by hand

SHOR is hand-lettered with a brush, then cut sharp. Every stem leans 20–28° forward, so the label always looks like it's already moving. Terminals end in knife-cut points, the O's counter is a leaning eye with one calm space inside the noise, and the baseline bounces like a crowd chant.

Two scripts, one name

The S works alone wherever the full name can't fit: avatars, zip pulls, labels and embroidery. The Urdu mark, شور, is drawn rather than typed, and its long tail sweeps under SHOR so the two scripts read as one name. Stacked, horizontal, one-colour and reversed versions cover every surface, with clear space and minimum sizes down to 10 px.

Loud, condensed and always uppercase

Anton carries headlines and drop names, built to be read from across the street. Archivo handles product copy and care labels, and Space Mono is the label-maker voice for drop codes, sizes and dates.

Asphalt, chalk, siren, haldi

Five colours taken from the street: asphalt black, chalk, siren red, haldi yellow and concrete grey. The brand should feel loud, raw, restless and local. Two graphic devices carry it: the slash, cut from the S stroke, and a decibel meter that turns volume into a graphic and rises with each drop.

On the clothes

Repeat patterns of the wordmark and the S, a back-print hoodie, tees and caps, woven neck labels and swing tags.

Out of the box and onto the street

Packing tape, shopping bags, a campaign poster system ("Make some SHOR", "Too loud to fold", "SHOR machao"), wheatpaste walls, billboards, a storefront, stickers, beanies, a rickshaw back panel and a rooftop lookbook.

A loud, bilingual identity for SHOR, a streetwear label named after the Urdu word for noise: a hand-cut brush wordmark, a drawn Urdu mark, street colours and a system that runs from neck labels to billboards.
