The Story Behind
This project involved creating a comprehensive campaign for a leadership conference hosted by VXI. The target audience consisted of leaders across Jamaica.
The challenge was to develop a campaign that effectively communicated the conference’s focus on leadership development while incorporating elements that reflected the unique Jamaican location. Additionally, the campaign needed to cater to various deliverables, including print and digital formats.
The Solution
The central visual element of the campaign was a heart-shaped wordmark featuring the conference name. Sun rays emanating from the heart symbolized the positive and inspiring qualities of leadership. This design effectively conveyed leadership principles while also alluding to the warm Jamaican sun.
The heart-shaped wordmark was further customized by incorporating the Jamaican skyline, subtly referencing the conference location without compromising the professional aesthetic.
This core design concept was then adapted and applied across all deliverables, ensuring a consistent and impactful campaign across all touchpoints. Vibrant colors were utilized throughout the campaign to reflect the energy and vibrancy of Jamaica.
Wordmark: The heart-shaped wordmark with sun rays and the Jamaican skyline served as the foundation for the entire campaign.
Pull-up Banners & T-shirts: The wordmark was prominently displayed on these deliverables, with additional visuals or text potentially incorporated for further information.
Teaser Visuals: Both still and animated teaser visuals were created, utilizing the campaign's design elements to build excitement for the conference.
Email Invitation: The email invitation featured the wordmark, alongside key conference details and a compelling call to action.
The Result
The client was very pleased with the final campaign, praising its unique design and ability to effectively capture the essence of leadership and the Jamaican setting. The cohesive visuals across all deliverables created a strong brand presence and successfully generated interest in the conference among company leaders.
This project highlighted the importance of creating a versatile central design element that can be effectively adapted across various deliverables. By incorporating location-specific references in a subtle and professional way, the campaign was able to both inspire and inform the target audience.
