Migrating a Kajabi Site to Lovable for Speed and Flexibility

Rebuilt my own site, shanarecker.com, in Lovable after outgrowing Kajabi. Portfolio, blog, offer, and contact form all in one place, and faster to edit.
The Challenge My site lived in Kajabi because I was building and selling courses. When that stopped being the focus, I was paying for a platform I no longer needed and working inside an editor built for course delivery, not for a portfolio-driven service business. Every small update took longer than it should have. I needed a site I could edit quickly, without the overhead. I also had a blog's worth of published content sitting in Kajabi that I wasn't willing to abandon.
My Role + Approach Designer and developer on my own brand. I rebuilt the site in Lovable rather than porting it over piece by piece, which let me keep what was working visually while rethinking the structure around services instead of courses.
Key Focus
Recreating the existing design without losing brand consistency
Making portfolio updates fast and low-friction
Migrating existing blog content without losing it
Building in an offer and a working contact form
Cutting platform overhead I no longer needed
What I Delivered
Full site rebuild in Lovable: Recreated the design and structure of shanarecker.com, mapped to a service business rather than a course business.
Portfolio system: Built so new work can be added in minutes, not hours.
Blog: Moved existing posts off Kajabi and rebuilt the blog in Lovable, so content history stayed intact and new posts publish in the same place as site updates.
Offer page: A dedicated page presenting the current service offer.
Contact form: Functional inquiry form connected to the site.
The Result A site I actually enjoy updating. I dropped a platform I'd outgrown, gained flexibility in how the site is structured, and removed the friction that was keeping my portfolio out of date.
