A few years ago, I visited several company headquarters to do deck pitching; yes, at that time, everything was still being done offline, one of which was making a presentation of offers for website development. 😁

Prospective clients were treated according to the company's background; for companies rarely exposed to technology, we had to hold a big meeting to present our website development offer. During the deck pitching, the company had the freedom to arrange how the meetings were going, even sometimes our vendor competitors were allowed there, watching us, looking at our deck, LOL 😂. It's a long process to get the project closing, so much effort was given to convince a company to choose us as a vendor, not to mention the cost and time consumed. ☕️

Nowadays, I can make agreements for big clients as individual freelancers, not so many documents that need to be reviewed and approved, only tax and NDA documents. Gratefully, the process I mentioned above can even be done by a freelancer alone. 👍🏻

Dribbble shot above is several alternative designs to offer a prospective client, Soechi Lines - Ship Cargo; In that case, we do not yet have an agreement signed nor a statement that we chose to get the project 😱. However, design alternatives are necessary. I don't even know what specific information the clients need to put on the mockup, and I design by assumption in the internal discussion 😣. ASSUMPTION IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO START A PROJECT 😵‍💫.

We know how long the bidding process is, and we also know that other vendors can also win this tender 🤷🏻‍♀️. Nevertheless, we are still going through the process because by following this process, we can get the opportunity to see other project opportunities at another time 🍀.
