Ulys Mobile App Design

Ulys wanted crypto investing to feel as simple as sending a text. The founders came out of Google and Coinbase, so they knew the DeFi experience cold, and they knew most people bounce off it at the first screen. They needed a design partner who could take all that complexity and make the first tap feel obvious.

We worked directly with the founders, head of product, and engineering team for twelve months, designing the full mobile app from scratch across iOS and Android. Funding, trading, storage, AI-powered insights, non-custodial wallet setup. We built the UX architecture first, then the detailed flows for onboarding, trading, and portfolio management, all in both light and dark mode.

Every screen was about removing the things that keep people out of crypto. No gas fees. No seed phrase anxiety. No chain switching.

Ulys launched on the App Store feeling mainstream without giving up any of the DeFi power underneath. Most people who use it won't realize how much we hid to get there.
