Match Bet: Redesign That Doubled Inquiries in One Week

Match Bet is a UK-based matched betting syndicate that's been operating since 2015, serving 500+ members. They handle matched betting on behalf of their members. The service is referral-only, which means the website has to do serious heavy lifting: build trust fast and convert warm referral traffic into completed applications.

Match Bet's existing website was outdated and underperforming. For a service that asks people to hand over personal documents and to trust a team with their bookmaker accounts, the old site didn't inspire confidence. Inquiries were low, conversions were sluggish, and the design didn't reflect the professionalism of a business with a 10-year track record.

The site needed to communicate legitimacy, simplify a complex service offering, and guide referred visitors from curiosity to application with minimal friction.

Working on a tight timeline, I designed and developed a premium, minimalist Webflow site built around three priorities:

Trust-first hierarchy. The homepage leads with social proof (500+ members, operating since 2015, £60/month) and member testimonials before asking for anything. A "Three things we'll never do" section directly addresses the biggest objections: no funding required, no lock-in, and transparent payment promises.

Clear value communication. Matched betting is confusing to most people. I designed a visual explainer section that breaks down the two-step betting process with a clean diagram, making a complex financial concept scannable in seconds.

Conversion-focused UX. The eligibility form is embedded directly on the homepage with a stepped onboarding flow (Application Review, Follow-Up, Document Submission, Guided Setup, Bonus & Earnings Start) that sets expectations and reduces drop-off. Every section funnels toward either the form or the WhatsApp contact.

The design language is dark, clean, and modern, with custom line illustrations that give the brand personality without cluttering the layout. Typography and spacing do most of the work, keeping the experience premium and focused.

The impact was immediate:
