Avast Driver Updater

When I started working on Avast Driver Updater (2021), my challenge was to fix a common UX problem:

🔧 Updating the drivers is so important, but... 😣 the experience often feels complicated and intimidating

To change that, I set out to redesign the entire experience so it felt friendly, reassuring, and simple from the very first interaction. My goal was:

Transform a stressful “tech support moment” into something smooth, reliable, and almost effortless.

I explored the full user journey, simplified complex decision points, and crafted clear, calm, and trustworthy flows. So with every iteration, the product became more intuitive, something users could navigate with confidence instead of confusion. When launched, the impact was unmistakable:User satisfaction climbed, support tickets dropped, engagement strengthened, and downloads grew significantly. But the real win was hearing users say the magic words every UX designer hopes for:
