I conducted an in-depth analysis of a coffee orders dataset using Microsoft Excel in this project. The primary objective was to uncover customer preferences, sales trends, and operational efficiency insights. This analysis is crucial for understanding customer behaviour and optimizing the coffee shop's performance. The Objective was to identify the most popular coffee types and sizes, analyze sales trends over time, determine peak hours and days for coffee sales, examine customer purchase patterns and preferences, and provide recommendations to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
The dataset includes detailed records of coffee orders over a specified period. Key tables in the dataset are orders, products and customers.
Using Excel, I performed the following analyses:
Created pivot tables to summarize total sales for each coffee type and size.
Used charts to visualize the most popular coffee options.
Customer Purchase Patterns
Segmented customers based on their order history.
Calculated total revenue and average order value.
Analyzed revenue contributions from different coffee types and sizes.
The analysis provided valuable insights into customer preferences and sales trends.
This project showcases my ability to use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization. It demonstrates skills in creating pivot tables, and charts and conducting time series analysis. The insights derived from the coffee orders dataset can help coffee shops optimize their operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
