Kaizen Hydration is a US wellness brand selling premium electrolyte mixes with a clean formula: microplastic-free rock salt, magnesium glycinate, organic sea moss and taurine. The store runs on Shopify. I designed and built their product page, then came back for an A/B variant and a bundle page.
Scope: CRO audit, UX/UI design, Shopify development
Timeline: December 2025 to September 2026 (three phases)
The challenge
The supplement market is full of near-identical product pages: hero image, price, add to cart, a few generic bullets. Kaizen's real advantage, ingredient quality and a no-filler formula, was not landing. The page had to tell that story fast and keep the path to purchase short and clear.
Process
Built the page around the buyer's decision order: what's in it, why it matters, can I trust it, how do I get it.
Ingredients first. I moved ingredient transparency to the top of the page instead of hiding it in a supplement facts panel.
Trust at the right moment. Reviews, trust signals and the subscribe-and-save offer sit exactly where hesitation usually turns into an exit.
Mobile first. The add-to-cart action stays visible through the whole scroll.
Design to live page. I built the page in Shopify myself, so the live PDP matches the Figma file.
Phase 2: a PDP for A/B testing
Kaizen came back for a second product page to test against the first one, focused on subscriptions and gifts that are added automatically for subscribers (a bottle and a frother). Before drawing any UI, I checked which gift and upsell logic the store's existing Shopify apps can actually support, then designed within those limits. That way the build matched the design and subscriptions kept working reliably. After that I configured a bundle page for their multi-pack offers.
Result
A live, conversion-focused PDP on Shopify, designed and developed by one person.
A second PDP variant ready for A/B testing, with subscriptions and auto-added gifts.
A bundle page configured for multi-pack offers.
Kaizen became a returning client: PDP, A/B variant, bundle page, plus an AI tool that writes their product descriptions, built on the Claude API.
