I led a girl empowerment campaign for United Nations Special Advisor and award-winning activist Elizabeth Nyamayaro, the master mind behind the He for She campaign. This month-long initiative commemorated International Women’s Day and featured 29 live sessions with girls and women worldwide.
I developed the campaign strategy, created engaging content, and coordinated Instagram Live events with high-profile guests, including former UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and celebrity Kate Bosworth. My role involved:
Outreach and Coordination: Sourced and prepared young activists and thought leaders for their live discussions across various time zones, ensuring they were equipped to share their messages effectively.
Social Media Assets: Created promotional materials for participants to amplify their outreach on social media platforms.
Content Creation Strategy and Activation: Designed a compelling challenge that encouraged participants to showcase their identities, reshaped by Alicia Keys’ "Girl on Fire," which served as the campaign anthem. Alicia reshared our content on her social media platforms, amplifying our reach and impact.
Team Leadership: Led a team of volunteers, overseeing logistics and communications to ensure smooth execution of all campaign elements.
This campaign successfully fostered community and empowered young girls globally, demonstrating my ability to manage complex projects and engage diverse audiences effectively.
