I managed social media marketing efforts for Global G.L.O.W., a global nonprofit focused on holistic education for girls. Our mission aimed to equip girls with essential tools for success—emotional, leadership, and advocacy skills.
A highlight of my role was leading the OctobHER initiative in October 2022, coinciding with the United Nations International Day of the Girl. This month-long campaign addressed critical social issues that girls face worldwide, particularly gender-based violence, by amplifying authentic stories from club members globally.
Key responsibilities and skills included:
Content Creation & Curation: Developed informative and empowering posts for all social media platforms, focusing on girls’ advocacy and educational content related to the U.N. list of human rights and sustainability goals.
Video Editing & Design: Edited videos, added subtitles and translations, and created basic graphics to enhance storytelling and engagement.
Community Management: Engaged with followers, fostering a supportive online community and highlighting girls' advocacy efforts, including some speaking at the U.N.
Collaboration: Partnered with @dayofthegirlsummit for the "11 Days of Action," leveraging shared goals to maximize impact.
Throughout the OctobHER campaign, we shared powerful testimonials, educational resources, and calls to action, inspiring our audience to advocate for gender equity and elevate girls’ voices globally.
