The platform runs 24/7 unstaffed gym entry. Its original development team left with no handover and no documentation. Member access, the platform's core job, wasn't reliable, the native door access had never been finished, and infrastructure spend needed to come down to a sustainable level.
My role
I took sole ownership of the web, mobile and backend codebases and delivered the rescue end to end: architecture, engineering, testing and release preparation.
What I built
I worked through each codebase and documented it, so the platform could be understood and maintained.
I built native BLE and NFC door access into the member mobile app, engineered for reliable hardware door control and 24/7 unstaffed entry.
I rebuilt member credential and account management, with operator visibility over access events and membership status.
I consolidated and right-sized the infrastructure on the existing Flutter, Next.js and Supabase stack.
Outcomes
The platform is recovered and stable, with no prior handover or documentation to start from.
Native BLE and NFC door access is working in the member app.
Infrastructure is right-sized to a more sustainable level.
A pilot-ready release is prepared for launch with the founding team.
