SquaredLAB Advisory|Turning 20+ years of HR expertise into a digital presence built to earn trust

Client: SquaredLAB Advisory Services Limited Industry: HR Advisory / Business Consulting Services: Strategy, Web Design, Copywriting, Web Development, CMS, Technical SEO Engagement: June–August 2026 Build: 4.5 weeks Stack: Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript, Prismic, Paystack, Resend, GSAP, Lenis, Sass/CSS Modules Live site: squaredlabadvisory.com

The challenge

SquaredLAB Advisory had something many newer businesses spend years trying to build: credibility.
The firm had more than two decades of experience supporting African businesses across different stages of growth. Its work covered strategic HR, operational HR, compliance, enterprise support, and more.
The problem was that its digital presence did not communicate any of that.
There was no website capable of carrying the weight of the firm's experience, explaining its services clearly, or giving a prospective client enough confidence to take the next step.
For a business selling expertise and trust, that gap mattered.
A referral could get someone to the website. Search could get someone to the website. But once they arrived, the site needed to answer a much more important question:
Why should I trust SquaredLAB with my business?
That became the real problem we were solving.

The brief

SquaredLAB did not need a brochure site.
It needed a digital presence that could make a complex HR advisory business easy to understand, establish credibility quickly, and move the right visitors toward action.
We worked closely with the founder to understand the business, its services, its programmes, its audiences, and the objections prospective clients were likely to have.
One audience in particular shaped the work: SME founders and business leaders who may understand that their people problems are expensive, but are often skeptical about whether HR advisory will actually create measurable value.
So the site could not simply say, “We provide HR services.”
It had to make the business case for engaging SquaredLAB.

Our approach

We treated the website as a positioning and conversion problem first, and a visual design problem second.

01 — Strategy before screens

We mapped the site architecture around the journey from skepticism to action.
Each major page and section had a job to do:
Make the visitor recognise the people or operational problem they are facing.
Explain how SquaredLAB solves it.
Establish credibility through experience, proof and specificity.
Make the next step feel simple and low-risk.
This led to a structure covering the company's core services, programmes, resources, careers and contact journey rather than treating the website as a collection of disconnected pages.
The live experience now opens with:
“Bad hires. Poor structure. No HR plan. We fix that.”
It is deliberately direct.
Rather than opening with a generic statement about being an HR consultancy, the site starts with the problems the target audience already understands.

02 — Turning expertise into clear content

SquaredLAB's offering is broad, and HR consulting can easily become jargon-heavy.
We wrote the site's content around clarity rather than corporate language.
That meant leading with the client's problem before introducing the service, making programme value tangible, and using straightforward language to explain what SquaredLAB actually does.
We wrote the copy across the core site, including the homepage, About, Services, Programmes, Resources and Contact experience.
The result is a site that explains a fairly complex consulting business without making the visitor work to understand it.

03 — Extending the existing brand

The existing logo gave us a starting point, but not a complete visual system.
We extended it into a fuller digital identity through typography, colour, iconography, spacing and visual rules.
The design direction was intentionally clean, editorial and confident.
Rather than relying on a large stock-photo hero to create authority, typography and composition do most of the work.
The visual system also gave different content types their own rhythm:
Services use scannable, outcome-led cards rather than long descriptions.
Programmes use alternating editorial layouts to make them feel like distinct products rather than another consulting offering.
Testimonials use named people, titles and company identities to turn social proof into evidence.
Client logos create a simple credibility layer without forcing every visitor into a case-study journey.
The goal was not to make SquaredLAB look like a design studio.
It was to make an established advisory firm look as established online as it already was offline.

04 — Building the experience, not just the interface

The development went beyond translating static designs into code.
We built the site as a production-grade marketing platform using Next.js 15, React 19 and TypeScript, with Prismic as the CMS.
The result is a system that balances visual quality with the practical needs of the team managing the website.
We built reusable motion primitives using GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis, including text reveals, parallax behaviour and a custom card-peel interaction.
Motion was treated as part of the design system rather than a collection of isolated effects, with shared easing and duration values keeping interactions consistent across the site.
We also built a managed page-load experience to prevent the interface from flashing or jumping while assets and fonts loaded.

05 — Making the website useful after launch

The website needed to remain useful after the project ended.
With Prismic, the SquaredLAB team can manage content such as Careers and Publications without waiting for a developer or shipping a new deployment.
We also implemented preview and on-demand revalidation so published content can update without rebuilding the entire site.
That turns the website from a fixed marketing asset into an actual content platform.

06 — From marketing site to revenue-generating experience

One of the more important parts of the build was CraftCV, a paid programme hosted within the SquaredLAB ecosystem.
We built the complete enrollment flow:
Email capture → Paystack checkout → server-side transaction verification → confirmation email → internal notification
The payment state is verified server-side rather than trusting the browser alone, and failure states were handled so users do not get trapped in an endless processing state.
Using Resend and React Email, successful transactions also trigger confirmation and internal notification emails.
This means the site does not simply explain a product.
It can actually sell one.

07 — Technical SEO from day one

SEO was treated as part of the build rather than something to retrofit after launch.
We implemented:
Schema.org structured data for the organisation and professional service
Breadcrumb structured data across relevant pages
A typed sitemap with page-level priority
Robots configuration
Canonical URLs
Open Graph and Twitter metadata
Centralised metadata generation
Semantic HTML
Font preloading to protect first-load performance
We also integrated Google Analytics with environment-based gating, and built reusable tracked-link components for important interactions such as booking CTAs, social links and calendar actions.
The result is a foundation designed not only to look good, but to be discoverable, measurable and maintainable.

The result

SquaredLAB launched with a digital presence that is much closer to the quality of the business it represents.
The finished site now gives visitors a clear understanding of what SquaredLAB does, who it serves, why its experience matters, and what to do next.
It also extends beyond a conventional consulting website.
The platform supports dynamic content management, lead tracking, paid programme enrollment, transactional email, technical SEO and ongoing publishing — all within one system.
The full site contains 11 primary routes, multiple programme and resource experiences, a CMS-backed publishing layer, a monetised programme flow and a custom motion system, with the core development build completed in 4.5 weeks.
Most importantly, the project demonstrates the kind of work we want to do more of at Parallel Lab:
understand the business first, then design and build the digital system around it.

A closer look at the outcome

The finished experience balances three things that are often treated separately:
Credibility — the visual system and social proof communicate an established advisory firm.
Clarity — services and programmes are explained around business problems rather than internal terminology.
Action — consultation booking, programme enrollment and contact journeys are built into the experience rather than added as afterthoughts.
That combination was the point of the project.
A 20+ year business did not need a prettier website.
It needed a digital presence that could finally communicate the value it had already built.
