Loading Up…

I connected with Verticode through a recommendation, and it wasn’t long before I found myself working with Habba, the Head of Marketing, on what I hope will be the first of many epic projects. We started with an introductory call where I explained my process—cue me nervously rambling about the importance of Tone of Voice—but Habba was totally on board and ready to dive in!

Next up, I handed over My Discovery Sheet, which is basically my secret weapon for getting inside the brand’s head. Habba filled it out like a champ, giving me everything I needed to capture the essence of Verticode. Armed with this intel and a brief from Habba, I set out to conquer the blank page. Spoiler alert: the first few lines were absolute rubbish—cue word vomit. But hey, that’s all part of the creative process, right?

Once I managed to wrangle my thoughts into something that resembled a first draft, I sent it off to the team for feedback. I braced myself for the red pen of doom, but to my surprise, there were only a few paragraphs that needed tweaking. Phew! A couple more rounds of iteration later, and we had ourselves a winner.

The final step was to team up with Habba and the development crew to give the article that extra bit of flair. We played around with the formatting and layout to make sure it packed a punch and left a lasting impression. And just like that, we turned a few rough ideas into a polished piece that we were all proud of.
