Here is how we ran ours on an analytics platform for Amazon agencies and what it found.
Designing an analytics platform for Amazon sellers means answering questions most dashboard tools never ask.
We ran around eight pages of desktop research: what this product is, how to build it technically, who the user is and what already exists on the market.
Here is what that turned into ⚡️
Information architecture and user flow design are not visible in the final product. But they determine whether users stay or leave.
We made sure every role had a clear path and every section had a reason to exist.
The result shows in the flows we built next 🗺️
These are not features added to impress. Each one solves a real problem the team faced every day before this product existed.
That is what makes the difference between a tool people ignore and one they rely on 🫴🏻
For us this was a lesson about timing, not about design quality.
The price of a build should be confirmed before the most expensive phase of design, not after it. So we added a build-capacity checkpoint.
The build plan is agreed first and only then the full blueprint begins🏄🏼♀️
The most expensive part of a product is rarely the design or the development. It is building the wrong thing well.
Design is the first place where that becomes visible and the cheapest place to change it.
