Customers needed a practical way to preview paint, rims, and accessories on actual vehicle models before buying. Existing configurators were costly and did not match the available inventory.
What I built
As my Software Engineering final-year project, I created the complete product: an Unreal Engine 5 desktop configurator for showroom use and an Android AR companion that places the configured vehicle in the customer’s environment.
I modeled the experience around real stock, paint options, and accessory choices; prepared the 3D assets; built the configuration logic with Blueprint and Variant Manager; and created the interface in UMG.
Outcome
The project was completed and defended as my bachelor’s final-year project, then put into use at the family automotive business. It also became the foundation for my later work on web-native 3D commerce and Gaussian Splatting.
