Introduction:

OMRT is a tech-driven company that connects architecture and data through parametric design tools. My goal was to redesign their website to reflect their innovative spirit while improving usability, hierarchy, and brand consistency.

Challenge:

The previous website presented complex technical content in a visually dense way. Additionally, OMRT offers a wide range of analytical and simulation services — many of which are hard to describe through text alone. This made it challenging to communicate the value and scope of their work clearly to users. The main design challenge was to build an experience that feels credible yet dynamic, conveying complex information in a way that is easy to understand and visually engaging.

Research & Strategy:

I began by analyzing user goals — primarily architects, engineers, and project managers — focusing on how they explore information and engage with service content. Competitive analysis revealed that most industry websites leaned too heavily toward technical jargon and lacked emotional appeal. Therefore, OMRT’s redesign needed to balance trustworthiness, clarity, and a sense of innovation.

Design Direction:

To capture OMRT’s dual nature — technical precision and creative exploration — I built the design system around their brand colors.
Typography was kept clean and geometric, while layout grids reflected parametric design principles for a sense of rhythm and structure.
To visually represent OMRT’s analytical services, I incorporated colorful 3D icons. Each icon symbolized a different service or data process — helping users quickly grasp complex ideas that are otherwise difficult to explain. These icons added personality and intuitiveness to the interface, subtly guiding users through OMRT’s diverse offerings.

UX Improvements:

Simplified navigation and improved section hierarchy for better readability.
Reorganized information architecture to guide users from exploration to contact in fewer steps.
Introduced subtle motion and hover effects to emphasize key content and maintain engagement.
Integrated accessibility best practices and ensured responsive behavior across devices.

Outcome:

The redesigned website communicates OMRT’s innovation and professionalism with confidence. It makes the complex world of parametric design more approachable through clear structure, visual cues, and engaging 3D iconography.
