Most nutrition apps track calories. WiseBite teaches nutrition instead.
A concept app designed for young adults who want to understand what they eat, not just monitor it.
The Problem:
A review of 10+ nutrition apps found that only 11.8% include any nutrition education. The rest are tracking tools that show data without building understanding.
Key Design Decisions:
Lessons come in text, audio, and video to respect different learning styles: an accessibility decision as much as a UX one.
Quizzes are embedded directly within lessons so users test understanding as they go, not at the end.
A recipe section bridges learning and real life, making knowledge immediately actionable.
The visual direction is soft and pastel: calm and encouraging, deliberately the opposite of the clinical feel most health apps default to.
Prototype
Outcome:
A learning-first experience that respects the user's intelligence and builds lasting habits through understanding, not guilt.

A nutrition app that teaches instead of tracks: lessons, quizzes, and recipes designed to build real understanding, not just count calories.
