Overview

This project is a year-in-review experience for GitHub users, similar in spirit to Spotify Wrapped, but focused on developer activity. The goal was to take real GitHub data and turn it into something more visual, detailed, and emotionally engaging than a typical flat stats presentation.
From the early concept, I worked on a visual direction built around a breadboard, where each data set appear as some electronic components whose legs fit into holes, like a physical circuit board. Commits, streaks, and languages became parts of a larger circuit that slowly came together as the story of the user’s year.
A big part of the work was designing the components themselves, giving them depth, material, and weight so the experience felt more like something being assembled than something being shown.
When designing the breadboard interaction, it was important to replicate the experience of inserting components like a computer chip. Components should have legs or terminals that visibly fit into the breadboard holes, just like in real life. To enhance usability, these terminals should snap precisely into the holes, eliminating the need for manual alignment.
